First GPS – media combination

04Mar09

Today I tried a nice application called mscape. You can create your own media scape, based on map data. This means, you’re drawing areas on the map where different mediafiles (video audio) will start to play on your GPS compatible PDA or cell phone. It was quite fun to play with it, as long there was enough GPS signal.

I also tried to program the Nokia N73 to establish a bluetooth connection to the GPS receiver, but at the moment no working solution. Theoretically it should work, but theres some bug in the threading I think…. So tomorrow it will go on.
Next thing is to get java code on the IPhone. Just found a blog about it which explains the “how to”. Just got the code from their svn and will give it a try tomorrow.
